GHG Protocol

The company, a founding member of the Brazilian Program GHG Protocol, is concerned with matters related to the preservation of the global environment.
The program aims at promoting the measurement and voluntary management of the emission of greenhouse gases, giving the participants access to instrumentation and international quality standards to take measurements and generate reports. The program also proposes the implementation of a national platform for the publication of corporate and organizational inventories.
The program will strive for compatibility with the best international practices and standards, such as the methodology standards of the GHG Protocol, the ISO standards, and the quantification methodologies of the Intergovernmental Panel of Climatic Changes (IPCC), by adapting them to the domestic context.
The Program's implementation is a partnership between the Brazilian Environmental Ministry, the Center for Sustainable Studies of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSCD).

Integration of the Companies - An Opportunity

Quattor, a member of the Responsible Action Program created by Abiquim, upholds the commitment made by its member companies with the company was created in 1992.
        
The program looks to improve the management of Brazilian chemical companies and the value chain to ensure environment, economic, and social sustainability of processes and products, as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of life in society, creating a trust relationship through mechanisms that verify the required actions.

Moreover, all the sites will have the Integrated Management System certificate for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment by 2010.

The integration of the companies that make up Quattor will aim at adopting excellent practices that will generate improvements in the environment, health, and safety of its workers.
